When it comes to cutting edge school stationery, Veda clearly stands out. Kenya’s first stationery company prides itself in bringing “vibrantly colorful, easy to use and appropriate stationery for students in all walks of life.”
Being a partner and major sponsor of the Kenya National Spelling Bee since 2017, Veda’s contribution in the program has not only been appropriate but also inspiring to thousands of spellers each year.
The 2021 KNSB Championship saw the introduction of fun activities, among them, Origami, during the event with an aim of engaging and educating participating spellers.

What is Origami?
Origami is the art of paper-folding. Its name derives from Japanese words ori (“folding”) and kami (“paper”). Traditional origami consists of folding a single sheet of square paper (often with a colored side) into a sculpture without cutting, gluing, taping, or even marking it.
Though most closely tied to Japan, origami also has roots in China and Europe. Now this ancient art of paper folding has found its way into the KNSB events, thanks to Veda and experts at Arts & Oak.
